Minature White House at Rockford
The hand-carved miniature replica of the White House, created by John Zweifel, a native of Monroe, and his wife, Jan, will be on exhibit during the Rockford Home Builders Show on March 3-7 in the Cherryvale Mall shopping center.
The White House in miniature has been traveling across the nation in observance of the Bicentennial. The research for the project spanned four President's administrations. More than 200,000 man hours were spent on making the reproduction which is valued at more than $1 million.
