CHRISTMAS AT THE WHITE HOUSE
Recapture the magic of the holiday season, with a visit to "Christmas at the White House," featuring the internationally-acclaimed White House Replica, at the Green Bay Area Expo Hall, Friday, December 12 through Sunday, December 21, 1986.
The special holiday exhibit, sponsored by the Fort Howard Paper Company, displays a remarkably detailed 60 foot by 20 foot White House replica, created by artist-sculptor John Zweifel. Over 25 years in the making, the model features handcarved furniture, telephones that ring, miniature chandeliers that actually work, and tiny paintings, drapes and bedspreads faithfully duplicated down to the last detail. More than 41 million people in the U.S. and Europe have viewed this miniature masterpiece, re-created on a scale of one inch to one foot.
Other exhibit attractions celebrating the year's best-loved season include: Christmas Trees Around the World; Holidays Through the Years at the White House; holiday music; and Christmas dioramas. China of the Presidents and a Wood Carver's Table will also be displayed. Complete your visit with a stop at the tables where holiday refreshments and commemorative items will be on sale.
Exhibit Hours: 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily.
Admission (payable at the door): Adults, $3.50; children ages 5-12 and senior citizens, $2.50; children under 5, free. Special rates are available for business, organizational and school groups.
